Terry Cotton Fabrics

Terry Cotton Fabrics

Terry cotton fabric is a type of fabric that is referred to in different ways such as poly cotton or terry cotton. The distinctive feature is that a fabric made from polyester and weft cotton fibers is called terry cotton fabric. Because it is a blended fabric, it has advantageous properties. Since it contains polyester, it is wrinkle-resistant. Also, due to the polyester blend, it is generally more affordable than other ranforce fabrics. The question of whether terry cotton fabric is good is frequently asked. As mentioned, there are advantages and disadvantages to being a blended fabric.

On manufacturer cards, it may also be written as Tericotton or Terikoton. The proper spelling is Terry Cotton, which is a type of fabric used especially in medical hospital clothing. It is also preferred in the production of affordable bedding sets.

The blend ratios in terry cotton fabrics can vary; they can be produced as 63% cotton, 37% polyester, or 50% cotton, 50% polyester, or even using 30% cotton and 70% polyester yarn.

In home textiles, the type of terry cotton fabric used in bedding sets typically consists of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It is not a poor fabric, but it is not as high quality as 100% cotton fabrics. Terry cotton fabrics with a 30-70 blend are generally used in shirt production.
